Meet the Team at St George's Nursing Home
We are incredibly proud of our dedicated team at St George’s Nursing Home in Witham. Our experienced healthcare professionals are committed to providing top-quality care and support to our residents and fellow team members. They truly work hard to achieve this. Our ethos is very much that of a community, we are here to support each other, and that includes the families of residents too.

Acting Director of Nursing & Older Peoples Services
— Mike Parris
Mike Joined Outlook Care in 2024. His began his career care at 18 as a carer, then progressing as a senior carer. His desire to make a deeper impact in people's lives led him to pursue formal nurse training in 2004. After qualifying as Registered general nurse in 2007, he spent four years as a community staff nurse before going back into care homes, where he worked his way up to his current role.
He is dedicated to ongoing professional development, providing continuous education, training, and mentorship to cultivate a culture of excellence within Outlook Care's facilities. As Assistant Director of Nursing and Older Peoples Services, his focus is on supporting care home teams to deliver the best possible care for our service users and he's particularly passionate about tissue viability and end of life care, areas where I believe we can make a real difference.
Outside of work he has a keen interest in history and combat sports!
Registered Home Manager
— Sally Morgan
With an impressive 45-year career in the healthcare sector. As a Registered Nurse, Sally had navigated the complexities of patient care, administration, and leadership, so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role now as Registered Manager at St. George’s Nursing Home. Her unwavering commitment to residents and their families is evident in her decade-long tenure at St. Georges.
Sally envisions St George's as more than just a nursing home, but a place where residents can truly live their best lives, surrounded by safety, respect, and compassion. Sally invites you to connect with her personally and explore the warm and inviting environment of the beautiful home and experience firsthand the care and dedication that defines St. George’s Nursing Home in Witham.
Deputy Home Manager
— Laura Simpson
Laura started as a carer at St. George's Nursing Home at 17, and subsequently pursued an adult nursing degree at the University Campus Suffolk. She also completed her Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in healthcare at Cambridge College. These academic achievements equipped her with the skills necessary to navigate patient care and administration.
Laura has experience of healthcare internationally too. She volunteered as a nurse in Ghana, gained cross-cultural insights in Asia, and contributed her expertise to Australia’s first Medicinal Cannabis Clinic. In 2019, Laura returned to the UK, and during the pandemic, worked her way up to her current role as Clinical Lead and Deputy Manager at St. George's Nursing Home.
Floor Supervisor
— Stephanie Clark
With over 15 years in the care sector, Steph brings a wealth of experience to her role as Floor Supervisor at St. George's Nursing Home.
Steph joined St George's Nursing Home Witham in 2016 as a dedicated care assistant, which led through her commitment and expertise to advance as a senior care assistant. Stephanie briefly worked at the Colchester Hospital Emergency Assessment Unit also, however, her heart remained with St. George's, and she returned a year later to take on the crucial role of Training Facilitator.
As Floor Supervisor, Stephanie thrives in ensuring the well-being of residents and maintaining a harmonious environment. Her passion for compassionate care and her ability to lead and inspire her team make her an invaluable asset to our home.
Floor Supervisor
— Claire Banyard
With an impressive 26-year tenure at St. George's Nursing Home, Claire embodies dedication and growth within our community.
She began as a compassionate Care Assistant, where she touched the lives of residents with her warmth and commitment.
Claire’s passion and expertise advanced to the role of Senior Care Assistant, where she continued to make a difference. Recognizing her leadership potential, she was subsequently promoted to Training Facilitator—an opportunity to share her knowledge and elevate the skills of her colleagues.
Recently, Claire embraced a new challenge as Floor Supervisor, where she thrives in ensuring the well-being of both residents and staff. Claire’s journey exemplifies the spirit of continuous learning and compassionate care that defines St. Georges.
Household Supervisor
— Eva Kostialova Braunova
Eva brings over a decade of experience as a care assistant, with a strong background in both residential care and domiciliary care.
Her commitment to enhancing residents’ lives led her to explore new avenues within the care sector.
After successfully advancing her qualifications in Health and Social Adult care, Eva transitioned from direct care to a household role. Her keen eye for detail and desire to support residents from multiple perspectives motivated this shift. As a Household Supervisor, Eva embraces the challenge of learning new skills while ensuring the well-being and comfort of the residents.
Activities Coordinator
— Linda Wash
Linda has been an integral part of the St George's Nursing Home Witham team since 2015, when she started with us in the Household department, and diligently worked to ensure the comfort and well-being of those under our care.
In 2018, recognizing her passion for using creativity in enhancing residents’ lives, we invited Linda to step into the role of Activities Coordinator. Linda’s commitment to brightening residents’ days is evident in her tireless efforts. She delights in organizing a diverse range of entertainment, to bring joy and meaningful experiences to our residents. Her creativity always shines through in her work alongside her artistic flair adds a special touch to our community.
Chef Manager
— Elena Budd
Elena brings over six years of culinary expertise to St. George's Nursing Home. Elena has honed her skills in various culinary settings, including restaurants, resort kitchens, city hotels, and bars. Her experience spans the intricacies of customer service alongside catering. She holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Healthcare and Health Sciences, which further enriches her understanding of nutrition and well-being.
Elena firmly believes that food transcends sustenance—it is a tangible expression of love, hospitality, and respect. Her culinary creations are carefully crafted to meet diverse needs and preferences, reflecting her unwavering commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences.
Home Administrator
— Juliet Holditch
Juliet’s journey began at St. George's Nursing Home in 2012 when she joined as a dedicated Care Assistant. During her tenure in this role, Juliet’s passion for compassionate care led her to become an End-of-Life Champion. She actively participated in local hospital conferences focused on end-of-life care and collaborated closely with the management team.
In 2021, Juliet transitioned to the management team, assuming the vital role of Home Administrator.
Her commitment to enhancing residents’ lives remains unwavering, and she continues to contribute her expertise to the well-being of our community.
